Dr. Marcus Asay is the oldest of eight children. Born in California, but he was raised across the country in the states of Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts and Utah. After completing high school, he served a two-year mission for his church in South Texas. He attended Weber State University for his undergraduate degree and Oklahoma University for dental school. Following school, Dr. Asay served as a General Dentist for the US Army in Ft. Carson, Colorado and Fort Hood, Texas. He enjoyed the experience serving our soldiers, but he does not miss the four-mile runs.
Dr. Asay is married with four children, three daughters and a son. His son is the youngest, and he’s the most stubborn of them all. They simultaneously keep him busy and remind him that he is not as young as he once was. Besides spending time with his wife and children, Dr. Asay enjoys his wife's cooking, good movies, and playing the guitar.
When asked about his decision to become a dentist, Dr Asay says he was inspired by Steve Martin in the Little Shop of Horrors. 😁 Knowing that he wanted to work within the medical field, Dr. Asay felt dentistry was a great way to balance serving the community and spending time with his family. Dr. Asay looks forward to serving the people of Winfield and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Asay is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association.
